Outlier Labs

Questions,
Answered Plainly

What we do, how we price it, who owns the work, and what working with us looks like.

Getting Started

  • All three, plus software. Outlier Labs is a senior-led brand and digital growth studio that handles branding and identity, website design and development, content and marketing, and software and automation under one roof, so you don't have to coordinate separate vendors.

  • In New Delhi, India, with in-person meetings by appointment. Most of our work with clients across India and abroad happens over calls and shared documents.

  • Navya Jain founded Outlier Labs in 2026 to bring technical and creative work together. Navya stays close to every project, from the first call to launch and beyond.

  • Yes. We work with clients across India and abroad. Calls, shared documents, and WhatsApp keep things moving, so being in another city or country is not a problem.

  • Yes. Many clients start with one service, such as a website or a brand identity, and add more later. Others have us run their whole presence end to end.

  • Because your brand, website, software, and content end up working together. When one team makes all of them, you spend less time briefing and aligning vendors, and customers get the same experience everywhere they meet you.

  • Yes. We help startups sharpen their story and then build launch identities, product websites and landing pages, launch content, and pitch decks, all made to grow with new features and new markets.

  • It depends on how much steady work you have. Working with us gives you senior expertise across brand, web, software, and content without the time and overhead of hiring for each. We are happy to tell you plainly if an in-house hire makes more sense.

  • Send an enquiry through the contact page or book a call. We reply within 48 hours, and if it looks like a good fit, we talk through your goals on a 30-minute call and then share a clear proposal with deliverables and milestones.

  • Four things that work best together: branding and identity, website design and development, software and automation, and content, social media, and design for online and offline marketing. Many clients start with one service and add more later, or have us run their whole presence end to end. If you already have a brand or website, we keep what is working and tell you plainly whether a refresh or a rebuild will get you further.

  • Healthcare practices, SaaS products and startups, fintech companies, e-commerce and D2C brands, manufacturers and B2B companies, hospitality and F&B, education and coaching, real estate developers, law firms, architects and designers, founders building personal brands, and many more. We are based in New Delhi and work with clients across India and abroad, mostly over calls, shared documents, and WhatsApp, meeting in person when it helps.

  • Most projects are completed within 2–6 weeks. Branding usually takes three to five weeks and websites three to six. Software timelines depend on what we are building, so we finalise them after discovery. Content and social media run as ongoing monthly partnerships. Either way, you get clear milestones before we begin.

  • Yes. Every site we build is designed for phones first, tuned to load quickly, and set up with the technical foundations search engines look for: clean page structure, titles and descriptions, share previews, structured data, and a sitemap. We also set it up so your team can update content without calling us.

  • Both. Beyond websites, we build the tools that run a business behind the scenes: order management systems, CRMs, dashboards, booking and enquiry flows, and automations that take repetitive work off your team's plate.

  • Yes. We plan, design, and publish across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Substack, and other channels, and we create the offline material as well: brochures, catalogues, flyers, packaging, signage, and stationery. Because one team makes all of it, your brand stays consistent everywhere people meet it.

  • Most clients have us write it, because good copy is half of what makes a brand or website work. We learn how your business really runs and what your customers ask, then turn that into clear, plain-spoken copy in your voice; if you already have content, we edit and shape it to fit. AI helps where it genuinely does, with research, testing ideas, and repetitive work, but the thinking, writing, and design decisions stay with people.

  • Projects are priced on scope after a discovery call, with a clear proposal of deliverables and timelines before any work starts, and flexible monthly partnerships for ongoing support. It gives you senior expertise across every discipline without the time and overhead of hiring an in-house team. Once the project is complete, the designs, source files, code, and content are yours, and domains and accounts are set up in your name from the start, so you are never locked in.

Pricing and Payment

  • It depends on scope, so we price each project after a discovery call instead of using a fixed rate card. You get a clear proposal with deliverables and timelines before any work starts, and you can decide from there.

  • Payment terms are set in each project agreement. Typically, fixed-scope projects are 50% upfront and 50% on completion, larger projects are paid by milestone, and monthly partnerships are invoiced monthly.

  • Yes. Our monthly partnerships, which we call Growth as a Service, cover strategy, creation, and optimization across our services. You can scale up or down as your needs change.

  • Yes. The 30-minute call is there to understand your goals and work out whether we are the right team for them, and there is no pressure to commit.

  • Tell us early. The proposal sets out the agreed scope, so if something new comes up we talk through what it means for the timeline and the fee before doing the extra work.

Ownership and Contracts

  • Yes. Each project has its own agreement covering scope, milestones, payment terms, and deliverables, so everyone knows what has been agreed before work begins.

  • On final payment, the intellectual property rights in your project deliverables transfer to you in full. That includes design files, website source files, documentation, and the content created for the project.

  • We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, templates, and internal frameworks. Where they are part of your project, you get a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them within the delivered work.

  • Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual NDA before work begins.

  • Yes. Either side can end an engagement with 14 days' written notice. You pay for the work completed up to that date, and we deliver the work-in-progress files with a reasonable handover.

  • Website projects include 30 days of post-launch support for bug fixes and minor content changes, and defects reported in that period are corrected at no additional cost. After that, support is available through a monthly partnership.

Branding & Identity

  • Most branding projects take three to five weeks, from discovery through guidelines. A refresh of an existing identity can move faster; a full rebrand with naming can take a little longer. We agree on milestones before we start.

  • No. A logo is one part of a brand. We work on positioning, messaging, tone of voice, and the full visual system so your brand feels consistent wherever people meet it.

  • Yes. If your brand has equity worth keeping, we refine rather than replace, tightening the identity, filling gaps in the system, and documenting it properly.

  • Brand strategy and positioning, logo and visual identity, colour, typography, and imagery systems, tone of voice, and brand guidelines. Naming and taglines can be added when you need them.

  • It is the clear answer to who you are for, what makes you different, and how you want to be remembered. We settle this first, so the visual and verbal identity follow with intention instead of guesswork.

  • Yes. Naming and taglines are part of our branding work, and they start from the same positioning that shapes the rest of your identity.

  • A refresh keeps what people already recognise and tightens it, filling gaps in the system. A rebrand changes more of the foundation, sometimes including the name. We tell you plainly which one will get you further.

  • Yes, you get them. Guidelines document how your logo, colour, type, imagery, and tone of voice should be used, so future work stays consistent no matter who makes it.

  • Yes. We build identity systems to work on screens, print, and signage, and the design and source files are yours once the project is complete.

  • Not always, but it helps to know your positioning first, because it shapes what the website says and how it looks. If you already have a brand that works, we can go straight to the website.

Website Design & Development

  • Most of our websites are custom coded, using the MERN stack, TypeScript, Next.js, and whatever else suits the project. When a visual editor or commerce features matter more, we also build on Framer, Webflow, or Shopify. We recommend what fits based on what your team needs to manage after launch.

  • Most websites take three to six weeks depending on the number of pages, integrations, and content readiness. Landing pages can be quicker. We share a week-by-week plan before we begin.

  • Yes. Every website includes 30 days of post-launch support, and we offer ongoing monthly partnerships for updates, optimization, and new pages.

  • UX and UI design, development, CMS setup, on-page and technical SEO, speed optimization, analytics and conversion tracking, and 30 days of post-launch support.

  • Yes. We keep what is working and tell you plainly whether a refresh or a rebuild will get you further.

  • Yes, if you want us to. Website copy and brand writing are part of what we do, and we can also edit and shape content you already have.

  • Yes. We set up a CMS so your team can change content without calling a developer.

  • Yes. We build stores on Shopify and custom builds when your needs go beyond it, with clear product pages and fast mobile loading.

  • Yes. Landing pages can be standalone projects and are usually quicker than a full website.

  • No, and be careful of anyone who does. We build the technical foundations search engines look for, including clean structure, fast pages, titles and descriptions, structured data, and a sitemap, which gives your content the best chance to rank.

  • Yes. Clear page structure, plain-language answers, FAQs, and structured data help both search engines and AI assistants understand what you do and who you do it for.

  • You do. Domains and accounts are set up in your name from the start, so you are never locked in.

Content, Design & Marketing

  • We begin with a one-week audit and strategy, then agree a monthly calendar. Our team creates and publishes the content, and we meet each month to review results and plan the next cycle.

  • We run it end to end. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Substack, and any other channel that matters to you: we plan the calendar, write, design, edit the videos and images, publish, reply to your community, and report on what is working.

  • Yes. Brochures, flyers, posters, menus, catalogues, packaging, signage, and event material are all designed by the same team that runs your online content, so your brand looks and sounds the same everywhere. You get print-ready files for every piece.

  • Yes. We have helped scale brands across cafes and food and beverage, skincare and beauty, interiors and architecture, home and furniture, education, D2C and consumer products, manufacturing and B2B, real estate, healthcare, SaaS and tech, founder-led personal brands, and many more, and we still work with many of them today. You can see some of that work on our Work page. And we are only getting started: we're here to help build the next big brands.

  • Yes. We interview founders and leaders regularly, capture their thinking, and turn it into posts and articles that sound like them, not like a marketing team.

  • No. We don't chase vanity metrics. We focus on reach among the right audience, engagement that signals intent, and the enquiries and conversions that follow.

  • Anyone can generate content now, so that isn't the hard part anymore. The hard part is knowing which stories you keep coming back to, which opinions you clearly care about, and the words you would never use. We use modern tools where they help, but getting to know how you think takes people.

  • Yes. Decks, brochures, and packaging can be standalone projects, usually one to two weeks from brief to final files. We help structure the story as well as design it, and you receive editable source files.

  • Yes. Performance marketing is part of our content and marketing work, along with the social and ad creatives that go with it.

  • Yes. We write SEO blogs and articles based on what your customers actually ask, in a voice that sounds like your business.

  • Yes. We plan and write email and Substack newsletters as part of your content calendar.

  • Yes. We edit video and reels, retouch photos, and write scripts for brand films, ads, reels, and explainers.

  • We spend time with you first. Interviews and a close look at how you already talk help us learn your stories, your opinions, and the words you would never use.

  • Yes. Each stage has clear review rounds, and nothing goes live without your final sign-off.

  • Yes. We design packaging, brochures, catalogues, and other print material, and you get print-ready files for every piece.

Software & Automation

  • Both. If a proven platform like HubSpot, Zoho, or n8n fits how you work, we configure it properly. If your process is genuinely different, or licence fees are eating your margin, custom usually wins. We recommend a path in writing after discovery.

  • It depends on scope. A single automation can be live within a few weeks, CRM setups and internal tools usually take one to two months, and apps or multi-module systems take longer. You get a fixed scope and timeline in writing before work begins.

  • Yes. At handover, the source code, app store accounts, and infrastructure transfer to you, along with documentation your team can work from. There is no lock-in.

  • Mobile apps for iOS and Android, workflow automations and integrations, custom CRMs, internal tools, dashboards, and ERPs.

  • Yes. We build mobile apps for iOS and Android, and at handover the source code and app store accounts transfer to you.

  • Yes. We connect the tools you already use and build workflow automations that take repetitive work off your team's plate.

  • Yes. We set up HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zoho, and we build custom CRMs when your process is genuinely different.

  • Yes. Data migration from legacy tools is part of our software work.

  • We build AI-assisted workflows with human review, so AI speeds up the repetitive parts while your team stays in control of the decisions that matter.

  • Yes. We build internal tools, dashboards, and ERPs around how your business actually runs.

  • No. We recommend a path in writing after discovery, explain it in plain language, and hand over documentation your team can work from.

Process

  • We start with a detailed discovery call about your goals, audience, and challenges, review your existing brand, website, and content, and confirm the scope and milestones. From there we move into research and strategy before anything gets designed or built.

  • More at the start, while we learn how you think and what you care about. As context builds, there is less to explain and less for us to ask, so it gets lighter as we go.

  • Usually weekly or every two weeks. Enough to share progress, get your input, and make sure we are still heading the right way, with one point of contact keeping everything moving in between.

  • We usually work in Notion and Google Workspace, with WhatsApp for quick things and email for anything official. If any of these don't suit you, just tell us and we will happily work with whatever you are most comfortable with.

  • Each stage has clear review rounds with deadlines. We ask for consolidated feedback so changes are clear and actionable, and nothing goes live without your final sign-off.

  • We set up analytics and reporting, track how the work performs, and meet regularly to review results and plan what comes next. The work keeps improving with real data rather than stopping at launch day.

Working Together

  • Two things. One team handles strategy, branding, websites, software, and content, so everything you receive works together instead of being stitched together across vendors. And we define direction and positioning before anything gets made, rather than jumping straight into design.

  • We build the team around each client, not the other way round. Senior people stay close to your work, so we understand your business well enough to make good decisions with you, instead of passing your project down a chain of people who have never met you.

  • Navya, the founder, stays close to every project from the first call to launch and beyond. You get one point of contact who knows your brand, so you never have to chase different people to find out where something stands.

  • Every project is tied to business goals we agree at the start, such as enquiries, engagement, or reach that matters. We track them, report them plainly, and review them with you monthly so the work keeps improving after launch.

  • Yes. If the strategy is not right, we would rather pause, refine, or say no than move fast in the wrong direction. Being honest early saves you time and money later.

  • A flexible monthly partnership where we act as your extended brand, content, and design team. Instead of starting a new project each time, you get steady output from people who already know your business, and you can scale up or down as your needs change.

  • We read every message and reply within 48 hours. If it looks like a good fit, we set up a 30-minute call to talk through your goals and timelines, then share a clear proposal with deliverables and milestones before any work starts.

  • A few lines on your business, what you need help with, and when you would like to start. Links to your current website, social pages, or brand material help too. If you are not sure yet what you need, just describe the problem and we will help you shape it.

  • Your goals, where things stand today, what is getting in the way, and the timelines you are working with. By the end, you will have a sense of how we would approach it and whether we are the right team for it.

  • Of course. Write to hello@outlierlabs.in or call either of the numbers on this page. Whichever way you reach us, the same person picks it up.

  • Yes. We are based in New Delhi and meet by appointment. Most of our work with clients across India and abroad happens over calls and shared documents, so being in another city is never a problem.

  • Reach out anyway. Many conversations start months before a project does, and talking early gives you time to plan budgets and timelines properly. There is no pressure to commit on the first call.

B2B Partnerships

  • Yes. We partner with companies that want to offer their clients more than they can deliver in-house, and we work as the team behind their team.

  • Marketing agencies looking for tech capabilities, tech companies looking for brand, content, and marketing capabilities, and any other business whose clients also need these services.

  • Yes. If your clients could also use branding, websites, software, or marketing, you can offer those services through us and earn on the work, without building a team for it.

  • You pay us a fixed fee for the work, agreed before we start. You then charge your client whatever you decide. We are not involved in what you bill them.

  • You do. The client and the relationship stay with you throughout the work.

  • No. Our team only communicates with your team. You stay your client's point of contact, and we take briefs, share work, and handle feedback through you.

  • Any of our four: branding and identity, website design and development, software and automation, and content, design, and marketing. Most marketing agencies come to us for websites, apps, and automation, while tech companies usually need the brand and content side.

  • As our client, you receive the rights to the deliverables on final payment, in the same way any client of ours does, so you can hand them over to your own client.

  • Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual NDA before any work begins.

  • Book a call and tell us what your clients are asking for. Once we understand the work, we agree the scope and the fixed fee before we start.
