A Website That Sounds Like the Music Teacher Behind It

A bold, playful new website, written and built by us, for Vivek Badoni, a Dehradun music teacher with 600+ students. It replaced a years-old site that had stopped converting, with clear pricing, free trial booking, and ten free practice tools.

The Brief

Vivek Badoni is a music teacher based in Dehradun, in the foothills of the Himalayas. For more than seven years he has taught acoustic guitar, piano/keyboard, and ukulele to over 600 students, from seven-year-olds picking up their first instrument to adults finally learning the one they always meant to. His classes are live, one-to-one, and online, so his students are spread across India and abroad.

He already had a website, but it was years old. It looked dated, no longer worked well, and was not bringing in enquiries. Students and parents loved his teaching, yet a parent finding him online for the first time could not easily see what he taught, how classes worked, what they cost, or how to try one. He needed a new website that felt as warm and energetic as his lessons, and that actually turned visitors into booked trial classes.

Our Approach

Designed for kids, and a little bit fun. Most of Vivek's students are children, so we designed the site to resonate with them first. Music should feel like play, not homework, and the site does too: chunky, cartoon-like display type, a dark stage-like backdrop, bright yellow, orange, and pink accents, hand-drawn instrument stickers, and colourful tool cards. A child can look at it and want to play, while parents still find everything they need to decide.

Answering what parents ask. Before booking, parents want to know who will teach their child, what the classes cover, how much they cost, and whether it will work for them. The site answers all of it up front: Vivek's story and experience, a page for each instrument, what every class includes, and a full FAQ.

Pricing without the back-and-forth. Pricing is often the first question on WhatsApp, so we put it on the page. Families switch between India and international rates, pick how often they want classes, and see the price for their grade straight away. A learning path shows how lessons follow the RSL graded syllabus from first notes to Grade 8.

Value beyond the lessons. We built ten free practice tools that run right in the browser: a metronome, tuner, music speed changer, ear trainer, virtual piano, chord finder, chord transposer, circle of fifths, scale finder, and note reading trainer. Together with free beginner guides, they give students a reason to come back between classes and give new visitors a reason to find him in search.

The content. We wrote every word on the site, from Vivek's story and the lesson pages to pricing, the FAQ, and the beginner guides. The copy is friendly and encouraging, written for parents and young students alike, so it sounds like Vivek talking rather than a sales page.

Every road leads to a free trial. Each page ends in one clear step: book a free trial class. A WhatsApp button sits on every page for families who would rather just message.

The Outcome

In place of a site that had stopped working for him, Vivek now has a home online that matches the teacher his students know: friendly, encouraging, and serious about real progress. Parents can learn everything they need in one visit, see exactly what classes cost, and book a free trial without a single back-and-forth message.

The free tools and guides make the site useful even before someone becomes a student, so it keeps working for him between lessons, not just when someone is ready to book.
